Lifeline... App Reviews

Just okay

Nothing amazing here. More like reading a mildly interactive book. Not even as interactive as a choose your own adventure, though.

!

Ive never played a text adventure type of game before, but this was impressive. It starts slowly and simply enough, with nothing much to shock the senses, but the story became extremely satisfying, especially with the preview to the sequel at the end. I was lucky enough to get this one for free, but it guaranteed my purchase of the sequels.

Fantastic

Awesome story in all and a great experience

One of the best apps Ive ever played

This app may not look like much at first glance but once you get into it its very absorbing. And the the story and what happens to Taylor is all very mysterious and really entertaining. Ive downloaded all the lifeline games but this one is by far my favorite (least favorite is the second one, bloodline I think its called) to the developers: keep making more apps like this one and I will be happy to buy them

Great text adventure!

The game is really great. I love the real time events and messaging component. I wish the writing was a bit more mature (the game reads like it is for middle-schoolers). Not to say the writing is bad, but being 23 I cringed at some of the writing. Really good game though.

Great change of pace

This is not an average game, in a very good way. The story is well thought out and though the pave can be slow the first time through, you can activate fast mode afterwards.

Simple Perfection

Such a simple premise and flawlessly executed. Engaging and immersive, there are just too many positive adjective available to describe this game with. Its just too much fun!

Fantastic entertainment!!

I really enjoyed the storyline and all the twists and turns. I really got into it! Im looking forward to more.

Intense!

Intense. I admit to cheating, but it was a cool experience.

Intriguing Dialogue

Love the conversations

Incredibly well written adventure

This game is so engaging, even with the time occasionally spent waiting for a response. So well written and executed. Im definitely buying the others too.

Love this game

Amazing...just amazing.

Brilliant

Sci-fi adventure lovers... Look no further. 100% worth it.

For the impatient

I am an impatient person and in this game there are many times when the main character goes to do something and just leaves the games for and hour or two. It isnt consistent which makes me bored and uninterested.

6 Stars! Wait, Make it 10.

<beep ... beep> My husband: "Whats that sound coming from your iPad??" Me: "Oh, thats Taylor, a young astronaut whos stranded on a remote moon somewhere. Im the only one receiving his distress call. I need to check to see if hes ok!" Taylor is a unisex character, but I personally choose to think of it as male. Today is Day 6 of playing this game. I find myself now worrying about Taylors wellbeing when advising him on a task, then anxiously waiting to see how he did. Yes, this is a game in that it requires one to use memory, a bit of strategy, random risks, and it incorporates suspense and anticipation--all elements of a good game. I loved the review of the fellow who played this side by side with a friend. To those who are impatient with all the reading and dont enjoy the tedious nature of several replays as you rethink, all games arent for everyone. As a language arts teacher for intermediate students, I consider Taylors language and vernacular to be current and suitable for a young person about 20. The creator will need to adjust the lingo every other year or so to keep it fresh. I think I will use this app with my students as part of their reading-stimulating imagination exercises. The text is even well written and punctuated! Something I dont find in every app game. If you enjoy suspense and being patient like a cat...imagine yourself at mission control where you dont have continual communication with your guys out beyond Mars. This is excellent entertainment for older elementary-100 years as well as a possible creative resource for those who may not enjoy reading...yet.

?..

I downloaded this app by accident.. I hope this wasnt a paid app or my parents will kill me! Ill just give this app five stars. Thank me later.

Not really a text based game...

Lifeline is a good Choose Your Own Adventure style story, but not really a text based adventure. You are presented with only two options at a time, some times I wanted to do something different but couldnt. There really werent any puzzles to solve and only one time to do any research to make informed decisions. This game had so much potential. I was expecting it to be more like Zorg, but instead it was more like books I read in grade school.

Just Wow

Literally one of the best uses of my money on an app in a long time

Favorite app

Aside from occasionally having to wait a few hours, I have nothing negative to say about this game. There were a few times I almost forgot it was a game. Waiting for Taylor to reply had me biting my nails, especially near the end. Dave, please keep making these games!

Perfect game!

I hate books, but this game doesnt feel like reading (even though thats all it it), it just feels instantly engaging and enjoyable.
