Interesting idea, but slow and unengaging
Great concept in trying to connect the storyline to the player as though the iPhone is actually communicating with the protagonist, Taylor. However, thats as far as it develops.
The "texts" in the game are uninteresting to look at after a while, and there are several narrative texts before you can respond with a canned choice. Its as though a paragraph was broken up into sentences and fed one at a time. Then, when you instruct Taylor to do something that will take a while, you have to stop playing since hes "offline."
When hes ready for you, you get a notification...several lines of notification. Its as though hes going to keep telling you whats happening whether you respond or not. The. You open the app, make a choice, get a few more lines and Taylor is offline again.
It has such potential, but as an interactive story its too disengaging to finish (I didnt). I also dont want cursing in my storytelling.
